MiFamilias is a closed beta. It is unfinished software, run by its founder, not yet operated by an incorporated company, and offered free of charge to invited testers. Nothing here is a consumer product yet, and these terms are written to say so plainly rather than to imply a service level nobody is currently in a position to promise.
If you want the whole of it: do not put anything in MiFamilias during the beta that you could not bear to lose, and keep your own copy of anything that matters to you.
MiFamilias is a private family video-sharing app with time-locked messages called capsules. The Service comprises the mobile app, the website and the systems behind them.
Access during the beta is by invitation. We may add or remove testers, and we may end the beta, at any time.
These are the parts people usually skip, and during a beta they are the parts that matter most.
You keep ownership of everything you upload. We do not claim it, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train AI models.
You grant us only the permission needed to run the Service: to store your content, to process it into playable formats, and to show it to the people you have chosen to share it with. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except where a family member has already received a copy in their own feed or capsule.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, including the agreement of other people who appear in it.
We may remove content, suspend an account, or end access, where we reasonably believe these rules have been broken. Where a decision is reversible we will say how to appeal it.
Capsules are locked on the server and cannot be opened early by you, by a recipient, or by us.
While you are alive you may cancel a capsule you created. Once a capsule has unlocked it cannot be recalled, because the recipient already has it.
How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Your data is stored and processed in Singapore.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion has a 30-day grace period, during which signing in cancels it; after that the data is removed.
We may end your access if you break these terms, or if the beta itself ends. If we close the beta we will give reasonable notice through the app and a way to export your content first.
The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. Because the beta is free and experimental, our liability to you is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the app and by email, and the date above will change. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
MiFamilias is not yet an incorporated company; it is run by its founder. There is no registered business address to publish, and we would rather say so than print one that does not exist. When the operating company is formed these terms will name it, and we will tell you before that takes effect.
